Somebody just walked right through me
someone with outlook so gloomy
sang the blues all afternoon and night
so tired of cartoon faces
so tired of monotone
she sang the blues to herself all alone
there's already reason enough
everyone else can call your bluff
not a suggestion but a threat
the consequences of your dread
can't help it but ask for more
satisfaction is such a bore
to be completely happy all the time
it's easy to finish something
much harder to truly start
I've found my body it's falling apart
it's hard when its all in my mind
paralyzing to just decide
no construct that I can't define
post-modern epic's got me so uptight
can you forgive us for the way we tell our comfortable lies?
and can you blame us for the laziness the apathy these silly ways we waste our lives oh my.... I tried.
